The package is for 5 bulbs.  Grows about 8-10" tall.
 
If spring had a smell, the fragrance of hyacinths would be right up there.  These flowers are actually a collection of smaller florets.  Cut to fill your home with it's fragrance or string the florets together to make a garland or necklace.
 
Bulbs will perennialize and come back each year.  Best yet, they are deer resistant.
